Insulin Sticks Only 3 Times a Week?

A new study, published in the Lancet, found that a longer-acting form of insulin, known as degludec, is just as effective as the existing insulin, glargine, with lower rates of hypoglycemia among participants. The study also showed that patients had the same amount of glucose control when the insulin was administered just three times a week instead of daily.
